Newly hired staff eligible for a $1000 Sign On Bonus! Flexible Schedule! Full Time. Starting Wage: $16.00/hour.

Office Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional availability required to teach a quarterly evening or Saturday daytime Class.

Conduct training classes to meet the standards of the various funding and/or accreditation agencies for DSNWK, CSP, and for DSNWK’s CDDO. Classes will include CPR, Mandt Systems, RTAP, ANE, & Core Skills. Job training provided and paid for by DSNWK. Must have a valid driver’s license as some classes will be at alternate DSNWK locations, company car provided for out of town travel. Locations may include but are not limited to Hays, Russell, Stockton, Norton, Atwood, Hoxie, and Hill City. Starting pay is $16.00, increase available contingent on education and experience.

  • Conduct training as required by DCF, KDADS, KDHE, and other licensing, funding or accrediting entities, or as requested for staff.
  • Ensure grades and records are received; notify staff and supervisors of no show/unexcused absences.
  • Report class attendance to necessary certification providers (American Heart Association, The Mandt System, RTAP) and coordinate distribution of certificates, digital filing of testing materials, and other class documentation.
  • Review staff enrolled for future classes, checking that necessary prerequisites are met.
  • Review, evaluate, and modify existing training programs in collaboration with the Training and Compliance Coordinator; recommend appropriate changes for improvement.
  • Assist other instructors with technical issues for classes (CFM, Google Meet, Datis, Relias Learning, Google Calendar). Google Suites, online LMS, and technology experience preferred.
  • Review overall agency compliance levels, adding classes to the schedule as necessary and informing supervisors and staff of additional class opportunities. Report Outcomes to appropriate parties and complete Reports as requested.

Maintain and foster inter and intra-agency relationships benefiting training.

Education – Post secondary education in related fields is preferred.

Experience – Two years of experience in providing staff training and/or in the developmental disability field preferred. Tech Fluency required. Strong verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Extent of physical effort required – Routine job requirements. Little, if any behavior or other physical intervention. Must be able to successfully demonstrate physical skills and techniques for Mandt and First Aid/CPR/AED classes.
