Position Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of Production Associates at
Cottonwood Industries, ensuring compliance with AbilityOne guidelines for individuals with severe mental health or
medical disabilities.

Essential Job Duties

 Work with Cottonwood management to develop the scope of work documents and plans.
 Serve as an additional point of contact with AbilityOne, Source America, and Cottonwood staff regarding
requirements.
 Perform, schedule, train, review, and monitor work to ensure progress is within expected guidelines and
completed on time.
 Mentor and provide support to other team members.
 Organize and conduct Production Associate team meetings. (includes training and all policy updates).
 Identify roles of ancillary team members and any training requirements needed to meet AbilityOne program
requirements.
 Assist in identifying internal and external resources and in budget development.
 Actively recruit participants to work on AbilityOne contracts and design outreach materials.
 Work with potential participants to obtain and update medical documentation to certify eligibility for the
AbilityOne program.
 Complete AbilityOne required forms (DQD,PEI,QEM) for all participants and maintain documentation as per
regulations.
 Serve as a case manager for Production Associates, addressing barriers and accommodations to work.
 Promote area-wide relationships for the recruitment and promotion of Cottonwood Industries.
 Point of contact for all Cottonwood mandatory training and completion of required documentation.
 Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 Four-year college degree in rehabilitation, human services, or behavioral sciences
 3 – 5 years of experience
 Experience working with individuals with disabilities
 Familiarity with area non-profits preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 Strong collaboration, facilitation, organizational, and communication skills
 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
 Ability to give clear and consistent support to team members and participants
 Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and Internet software
 Strong writing proficiency and oral presentation skills

 Ability to develop, lead, motivate, and instruct participants served under this program
 Knowledge of supported employment practices, training, and supports for people with disabilities
 Knowledge of supporting and training people with mental illness
 Ability to work independently, lead, motivate, train, problem solve, and instruct

Physical Demands

 Constantly required to exchange accurate information
 Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery
 Frequently remains in a stationary position
 Occasionally moves about inside an office

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an indoor professional office setting with limited exposure to moderate noise levels.
The role may require occasional travel within the community for networking and recruitment purposes.

Supervisory Responsibility

The role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities but provides team leadership, functional authority, and
oversight for Production Associates.
