DPOK, Inc. is hiring an Access Specialist! This position will be a front-line resource connection for individuals and families seeking assistance with navigating the intellectual and developmental disability system and providing alternative resources when necessary. This position includes time at the office as well as travel to meet with individuals and families within multiple counties of Kansas.

This person will determine an individual’s eligibility and perform functional assessments. Provide general information to individuals with disabilities, families and/or guardians about their rights, services, options, and gather information about the individual’s quality of life and satisfaction with services. Must be flexible with schedule and be able to travel to many Kansas counties and go into homes and/or businesses for interviews where individuals live or work.

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but experience working with people with developmental disabilities can be substituted. Other qualifications include strong oral and written communication skills, computer skills, time-management, ability to work independently as well as a team, and a valid Kansas driver’s license or access to transportation.

Pay: $31,200.00 – $32,240.00 per year
