About the Presenter:

I’m Amanda Davis. I am a Lawrence, Kansas native with a passion for non-profit work. I’ve been volunteering for, donating to, and supporting local non-profits for the past 30 years and have extensive experience at both a donor and volunteer level. I love doing work that benefits the community around me and have a very deep love of Lawrence. My professional life has taken me down a number of different paths over the years from financial services to government contract work, to airport consulting, to marketing and communications. I’ve spent the largest portion of my career working in marketing and communications for several different organizations, both in an in-house and agency setting. I have been actively involved in and held leadership positions in community and civic organizations. I am a former Event Co-Chair for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Douglas County, founder and former Event Chair of the Girlfriend’s Gala, Past President of the Board of Directors for Just Food, a former member of the Community Health Improvement Plan Steering Committee for the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department, and have served or am currently serving on the Boards of the Leadership Lawrence, #BeMoreLikeClaire, Lawrence Preservation Alliance, and Social Media Club of Lawrence.I hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and eMarketing from Franklin University and a Master’s degree in Digital Content Strategy from The University of Kansas, William Allen White School of Journalism.

The link for live courses is shared with those members who have registered for the 2025 Virtual Training Package and cannot be accessed from the main website. The 2025 InterHab Virtual Training Package features 2-3 live courses per month from January to September. These training sessions will be recorded and available to those registered.
