2025 InterHab Live Courses: Rooted & Rising, Growing Your Leadership from Where You Are

May 29 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

About the Course:

Grow from where you are. Lead with purpose. Stay rooted through the storms.

This interactive workshop is designed for current and emerging leaders in the intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) field—whether you’re in a formal leadership role or leading through your everyday actions. Grounded in lived experience and sector expertise, this training explores the key mindsets, tools, and internal balances needed to lead well in challenging, heart-driven work.

Together, we will explore:

Core values of effective and ethical leadership in IDD services

Lessons from the leadership journey of two facilitators who’ve grown from direct support to executive roles

How to lead from any position, not just from the top

Strategies to ask for help, seek feedback, and grow your skills with intention

Resilience-building practices to help you navigate emotional labor and avoid burnout

The power of balance: compassion and accountability, boundaries and connection, purpose and rest

Knowing when to step up or hold steady—and how to discern the difference

Tangible ways to apply what you’ve learned in your day-to-day work

Participants will leave with renewed clarity about their leadership path, tools to support personal and team growth, and a deeper connection to the heart of why this work matters.
