For families and health care professionals that support someone with an I/DD. This program explores risk factors, practical ways to recognize early cognitive changes, and ways to support.
About the Presenter(s):
Amy Yeager, LMSW
Amy serves as Lead Community Navigator with the Cognitive Care Network at the KU
Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, supporting patients in the Memory Clinic and partnering
with Primary Care Practices in the Kansas City region to provide dementia specific navigation.
She prior worked as a Dementia Care Specialist at the Alzheimer’s Association, Heart of America
Chapter, for over a decade. Her career began in the 90’s where she served in multiple direct
service and leadership roles, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental
disabilities. This work continues as she supports individuals with an I/DD who are experiencing
cognitive changes.
The link for live courses is shared with those members who have registered for the 2025 Virtual Training Package and cannot be accessed from the main website. The 2025 InterHab Virtual Training Package features 2-3 live courses per month from January to September. These training sessions will be recorded and available to those registered.
