2021 Friend of InterHab Membership Application

Our new Friend of InterHab subscription will grant you access to a wealth of knowledge and provide opportunities for you to engage on policy matters. Becoming a Friend of InterHab will also grant you access to a growing collection of discounts and other benefits from participating businesses.

Becoming a Friend of InterHab will give you exclusive access to information and resources generated by InterHab, our state’s number one advocacy entity on IDD issues. Consider becoming a friend of the organization that:

• Led efforts to pass the 1995 Kansas Developmental Disabilities Reform Act
• Secured the addition of millions of new funds for serving Kansans with IDD
• Protected community services for Kansans with IDD
• Trained thousands of IDD professionals on a wide range of topics

Just since the beginning of 2020, InterHab has been instrumental in:

• Securing $22 million in new funds for services to Kansans with IDD
• Pushing for the elimination of the IDD waiting list
• Developing new community resources for supporting Kansans with IDD who also have behavioral health needs
• Preparing the Kansas IDD provider network for the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic

Becoming a Friend of InterHab will grant you access to:

Regular online briefings on emergent advocacy and policy issues. InterHab’s executive director and associate director will regularly brief you on what’s happening on IDD issues in Topeka and at the federal level. And, you will be given opportunities to provide feedback during the development of InterHab responses to those issues. Special Friend of InterHab member-only resources. As a Friend of InterHab, you will gain access to special sections of InterHab’s website that will contain information and updates on IDD issues. You will also be granted access to our Friend of InterHab member-only Facebook page, which will provide information sharing and networking opportunities. Click here for the Friend-Only page. 

Regular e-newsletter with unique content. As a Friend of InterHab, you will receive a special bi-weekly e-newsletter with content just for you! InterHab will provide updates on advocacy and policy issues in these newsletters, and we will also provide information from top tier sources around the country. You’ll also see special content from thought leaders within our Kansas IDD community.

Special online training for Friends of InterHab. We will pull from our wealth of relationships with high-quality trainers to provide special trainings for our Friend of InterHab subscribers. We already have trainings set up on health and safety in the era of COVID-19, deep dives into different IDD diagnoses and more! Click here for upcoming training and events.

Special discounts for our friends. As a Friend of InterHab, you will be the first to know about special discounts, coupons, and deals made available just to InterHab! Become a Friend of InterHab today!

At this time, Friend of InterHab subscriptions are open to Kansas IDD professionals, Kansans with IDD or families/guardians of Kansans with IDD. Professionals who work for organizations that have left the membership of InterHab within the past five years are not eligible for a Friend of InterHab subscription. If you have any questions about your eligibility please contact Janet at janet@interhab.org.

There is an $80 annual subscription fee. This fee must be paid by credit card. If you would like other payment arrangements please contact Janet at janet@interhab.org.
