Position Summary
The Marketing and Fundraising Events Coordinator leads the planning and execution of the organization’s
communications, messaging, brand reputation, and signature events. This role is responsible for developing and
implementing integrated marketing and communications strategies that advance organizational priorities, strengthen
stakeholder relationships, and increase visibility, engagement, and impact.
Working in close partnership with leadership, the coordinator manages external and media communications; develops
and maintains marketing and fundraising materials; supports brand development and website management; and
contributes to executive messaging. The role also plays a central part in the strategic planning and delivery of high
profile fundraising and community events that support the organization’s mission and development goals.
Essential Job Duties
Plan, coordinate, and implement fundraising, donor engagement, and community events
Collaborate with staff, board members, and volunteers to ensure seamless event execution
Develop and maintain mailing lists, donor records, and event participation data
Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, participants, and contractual service providers
related to venues, equipment, catering, and event services
Support the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned
with organizational goals
Design and produce newsletters, annual reports, appeals, and other print and digital marketing materials
Create, schedule, and manage content for social media platforms, including graphics, images, and video
Assist with correspondence, reports, donor communications, and fundraising materials
Steward and protect the organization’s brand identity and public reputation
Coordinate and manage the annual fund drive and related campaigns
Prepare timely acknowledgments and recognition for donors, sponsors, and volunteers
Maintain and update the donor database, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
Participate in regular internal briefings and maintain strong, professional relationships with external
stakeholders
Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and consultants as needed
Order supplies and provide transportation for local errands related to events and operations
Perform additional duties as assigned in support of external relations and development efforts
Qualifications
Degree or certificate in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field (Bachelor’s
degree preferred)
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in communications, marketing, events, public relations, or a related field
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience using Canva and Hootsuite preferred
Experience with photography, graphic design, and website content management
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and Access
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across teams
Physical Demands
Regularly operates a computer and standard office equipment
Frequently communicates with donors, sponsors, staff, and volunteers
Frequently remains in a stationary position in an office environment
Regularly moves about to coordinate, set up, facilitate, and execute events
Must be able to provide personal transportation for local errands and event-related needs
Work Environment
The work environment is primarily a professional office setting, with occasional event-related duties that may require
local travel, evening or weekend hours, and work in community or event venues. The noise level is typically moderate,
consistent with a standard office and event environment.
Supervisory Responsibility
The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
