Hetlinger Developmental Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through meaningful support, employment, and community connections. We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Finance & HR Manager to join our administrative leadership team.

This full-time, hourly, non-exempt position (40 hours per week) plays a central role in both financial operations and HR administration, ensuring accurate billing and payroll, strong fiscal stewardship, and high-quality support for our staff team. The hourly pay range for this role is $22–$25, commensurate with experience. Start date April 1st.

Position Highlights

The Finance & HR Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing all financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable
  • Submitting billing for HCBS/IDD Waiver services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Managed Care Organizations
  • Preparing the annual organizational budget
  • Completing biweekly payroll and annual/quarterly payroll filings
  • Preparing board financial reports and annual audit documents
  • Maintaining employee records and supporting benefits administration
  • Bookkeeping and support for the Hetlinger Foundation

Work is primarily office-based with standard daily work hours and minimal physical demands.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting
  • Experience with Managed Care billing preferred
  • Experience in nonprofit finance preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, federal/state tax law, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Must pass KDADS background check, drug screening, and meet communicable-disease requirements
