This program explores risk factors\, practical ways to recognize early cognitive changes\, and ways to support. \nAbout the Presenter(s): \nAmy Yeager\, LMSW\nAmy serves as Lead Community Navigator with the Cognitive Care Network at the KU\nAlzheimer’s Disease Research Center\, supporting patients in the Memory Clinic and partnering\nwith Primary Care Practices in the Kansas City region to provide dementia specific navigation.\nShe prior worked as a Dementia Care Specialist at the Alzheimer’s Association\, Heart of America\nChapter\, for over a decade. Her career began in the 90’s where she served in multiple direct\nservice and leadership roles\, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental\ndisabilities. This work continues as she supports individuals with an I/DD who are experiencing\ncognitive changes. \nThe link for live courses is shared with those members who have registered for the 2025 Virtual Training Package and cannot be accessed from the main website. I am a Lawrence\, Kansas native with a passion for non-profit work. I’ve been volunteering for\, donating to\, and supporting local non-profits for the past 30 years and have extensive experience at both a donor and volunteer level. I love doing work that benefits the community around me and have a very deep love of Lawrence. My professional life has taken me down a number of different paths over the years from financial services to government contract work\, to airport consulting\, to marketing and communications. I’ve spent the largest portion of my career working in marketing and communications for several different organizations\, both in an in-house and agency setting. I have been actively involved in and held leadership positions in community and civic organizations.
