SUMMARY:2025 InterHab Live Courses: How to Stop Answering the Same Basic Questions Over & Over
DESCRIPTION:September 11\, 2025 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am \nAbout the Course: \n“We’re out of sour cream; what should I do?”\nSound familiar? As a leader or supervisor\, you’ve probably received countless texts or calls about basic decisions that your team should be able to handle on their own. It’s time to take back your time and empower your staff to make those simple decisions independently. Join Scott de Fasselle in this interactive workshop where you’ll learn a straightforward method for teaching your team which questions to bring to you — and which ones they can solve on their own. \nAbout the Presenter: \nScott De Fasselle is a dedicated champion for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Growing up\, Scott was influenced by his mother\, Sara\, who worked for the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Hearing about her work and meeting the people she helped had a profound impact on him\, shaping his commitment to supporting individuals in need and the organizations that serve them. This early exposure laid the foundation for his career and led to the creation of DSP Magnet® Academy\, his opportunity to give back to a community he has long felt passionate about. Scott is the co-author of “Heart\, Hope & Honesty: How I/DD Providers Can Attract & Retain Amazing Direct Support Professionals and Thrive Despite the DSP Crisis\,”. Throughout his career\, Scott has worked tirelessly to help nonprofits succeed\, including saving a client over $11\,000 with just one 30-minute conversation. In addition to his work in the space\, Scott earned the rank of Eagle Scout at just 15 years old\, with his project benefiting a shelter for battered women and children. He is also an experienced speaker at developmental disabilities conferences and workshops\, where he shares his expertise and insights with others in the field. \nThe link for live courses is shared with those members who have registered for the 2025 Virtual Training Package and cannot be accessed from the main website. The 2025 InterHab Virtual Training Package features 2-3 live courses per month from January to September. These training sessions will be recorded and available to those registered. Organizations benefit from one low cost\, and unlimited attendance at each session.
